About This Font
Termina by Mattox Shuler is a wide geometric sans from Fort Foundry with 9 weights. Released in 2015, this Athens, Georgia designer created it as his foundry’s flagship after launching in 2013. Brian Brubaker joined the team in 2018.
The family features extra wide letterforms with tall x-height for exceptional legibility. Works beautifully in all caps. Shuler packed in 743 glyphs per weight with 10,920 kerning pairs and 34+ language support. OpenType features include small caps, old-style figures, stylistic alternates, and case-sensitive forms.
The wide proportions deliver a confident presence in logos, advertising, signage, wayfinding systems, and editorial pull quotes. Fort Foundry’s motto “Never quit building” shows in the meticulous details. Free with an Adobe Creative Cloud subscription. A complete family runs around $199.
